I decided to do today's run at the track instead of on the treadmill and all I have to say is Oh My! It was so much harder and I don't know why. Maybe it's because I set it at a certain speed on the treadmill...not sure, but I was so winded and so worn out tonight that I could hardly make it. There was another woman at the track who immediately started running and she ran the entire time, with the exception of the last lap - then there is me all winded and barely able to go after my minute of running. I needed the entire two minutes to recover before running again and then I thought I was literally going to pass out!
Honestly, do I think I'm going to be able to run an entire 5K...at this point, it's not looking so pretty, but I'm sure as I continue to train my endurance will get better. I can't wait for that point!

I'm looking forward to hearing about my friends journey...

  1. OMG! Can I say how proud I am of you!! I do agree that the tracks are always harder than the treadmill. I think it's because of the terrain and it's harder on your knees. The plus side is that the natural beauty of outside to distract! :)

I just did the treadmill yesterday and started off small b/c of my neck. Then I had a deep tissue massage last night. I'm 100% now and I will start off this week full force! :)
